AN INTERVIEW

Hi bloggers!
Today I´m doing a interview to a person that has immigrate to Europe. Nowadays she is living with her husband and doughter in Malta, but she was born in Peru.

  • When did you come to Europe?
Well, I first came to a wedding of some friends to Barcelona like, 10 years ago. There i met with some people that offered me a job in Malta. So a thought that it could be a very interesting experience and I moved there.

  • In what type of work were you working?
I started working as a spanish teacher but only to few people in a small academy. Then the academy was restored and more people came to it. By the time i´m still working as a spanish teacher but is only for business people, i don´t teach them the spanish language like verbs and things like that , I only teach them tecnicalithies for meetings and those things.

  • Do you like your job?
Yes , I think that it is quite interesting becouse I meet people from all over the world and from different cultures that came to Malta to learn some languages. In the other hand , i think that to do this job for the rest of my life it can be boring, so i decided to change of job every 10 years.

  • So... what would like to do in some years? Have you be working in another type of work before??

I don´t know yet (laughs), but i want to do something very different...and ... yes, when I lived in Peru i worked as a secretary and I tried more jobs more while i was studing at the university. Ah! and  this summer too i have been the leader of a spanish group of teenagers that were here learning English.

  • Coming back to your migration. How did you feel when you arrive in Europe??

Well, it first I was very sad becouse I left my family in Peru and I was in a foreign country, i had some friends there but they were working or with their families all the time so i only could see them some ours per week.  Also, I have to say that people from Malta aren´t very nice with foreign people, so in my first months i was very alone . But then, i realised that I was in a very exciting country and that there were a lot of activities to do. In those activities i met a lot of people -and not only from Malta- and i did many friends. After that, I met my husband.

Would you like to stay living in Malta or are you going to come back to Peru?

Well, by the time I´m living in Malta but I may move with my family to an other european country, i was thinking qbout Spain, because I love Barcelona.

  • Okay, thank you very much. I had interviewed Julia Guerrero, a immigrant living in Malta.

DONOSTIA SAN-SEBASTIAN 2016

Donostia San -Sebastian is going to be the cultural capital of Europe in 2016 sharing that honor with a polish city called Wroclaw. Donostia won to Burgos , Las Palmas, Zaragoza, Segovia and Cordoba, with the last one there had been problems becouse at firt they were the favorite ones and they didn´t win. Cordoba said that Donostia could´t win becouse the terrorism had not finished yet but the judges didn´t listened to them and Donostia proclaimed the cultural capital of Europe in 2016.

That happened in 2011 and with time Donostia has grown and has been more expectacular. It has have a lot of tourist and the people that comes to visit this beautiful city is increasing.

I think that the best thing that Donostia has are the donostiarras. The make this city more beautiful and they expand Donostia´s best things; they are proud of their city so that makes Donostia better, more united and prettier.

I´m adding a video of the candudature:

EMA AWARDS

The EMA awards are the awards or prizes of the European music. The singers or group don´t have to be european but their music has to be very popular in Europe.
Those awards wew established in 1994 by MTV networks Europe to celebrate the most popular songs and singers in Europe.
This year it has celebrated in Amterdam (Nederlands) and these have been the most important winners:
  • The first one was, Bruno Mars for "Locked of heaven"

  • Another one was Robin Thicke for "Blurred lines"

  • Or Eminem for "Global Icon"

  • And the last one that was Miley Cyrus for "Wrecking Ball"
This singer did an action that the next day everybody was talking about. When she get the award and was finishing the speach she lit up a suspicious-looking cigarette on the stage at the Amserdam´s Ziggo Domme.

I´m adding the video if someone wants to have a look:
In the link that you can see below, you can visit th EMA´s awards official web and look if you want for more information:

SPRECHEN SIE DEUTSCH?

Hi bloggers!
In class we have been studing Deutsch with our German teacher Daniel. By the time we have learned the numbers and some easy sentences that we can use in a small conversation or in a introduction. So now i can say things like...
My name is Olatz  > Mein name ist Olatz
I´m 16 years old    >  Ich bin 16 jahra alt
i live in San Sebastian > Ich wohne in San Sebastian

I didn´t find so difficult because is similar to the English, so if you are an english speaker it will be easier to learn it than if you are spanish speaker.

I think that to learn german is very  important nowadays becouse is the language of Europe apart of the English. I think too that if someone is thinking to emigerate somewhere of Europe or if he/she wants to go with the Erasmus , it will be easier if that person speaks more languages ( apart of the English of couse).

THE DIFFICULT SITUATION OF THE PHILIPPINES

Hi bloggers!
Today, I´ve been reading some news  and I´ve found a very interesting one online. Everybody knows that in the Philippines it has been a hurrican called "Yolanda" that has destroyed some parts of that beautiful country. So, some countrys are helping families and people that has lose their house, or their relatives. According to the ONU´s confirmation 4.660 people has died and a lot of people need help becuse they
don´t have anything to eat or drink after the hurricane destroyed the city were they were living.

Back to the new that I´ve found the European Union is going to give 20 million euros their volunteers are going to support those people that have been left with nothing. The new is from Europa Press and it has been published 3 days ago.

I think that these is a beautiful new, becouse  helping to each other is the only thing that we can do for recovering from rough patches. I know that not a lot of people can help nowadays becouse the situation of some countries is getting worse and worse every day,  but I think that we don´t have to donate a big amount of money; you can send a message with the mobile phone that is going to cost you 1,20 euros. Those 1,20 euros may don´t be so important for you but with these money you can help a child giving him a dinner o a bottle of water for some days.
I have done it, now is your turn!
